this past
weekend
i was spirited away
to my dear friend's home
in topanga canyon
to celebrate her birthday.


we sunbathed, lounged, danced
and i finally had
an occasion to wear
my 1940's chacha dress.

the weather
has been so
glorious these
past two days
i'm dreaming for
messy hair
long lingering beach
days and billowing breezy dresses

this is the end

of a summer that
never fully appeared

spring gives way to summer

this past sunday
the weather was
about as perfect
as perfect can be

it was 82 degrees
on Sunday...a glorious day
at the beach for shooting photos

between bouts
of constant work...
i went home

and then
to Joshua Tree
with the hubbyo
and the brother
